Since 2007, Shrimp & Grits Kids’ mission is to provide a line of clothing that keeps children adorably and comfortably dressed through classical and whimsical styles that are affordable. Our boys and girls’ collections are designed with colorful patterns and timeless quality that allow children to feel free to play, explore, and imagine a world of creativity and fun!^

• Founder and Owner, Megan Hewitt, has a vintage, quirky, and charming style. Her designs are inspired by her two free-spirited daughters, Ella and Lyla Gray, and by the beautiful surroundings of her home in the Low Country of Charleston, SC. To complete her unique lines each season, Megan creates classical prints for the Shrimp & Grits Kids collections and whimsical prints for the Serendipity collections.



• Megan began her infatuation with children’s clothing after the birth of her first child in 2005. As an Art teacher in her life B.C. (Before Children), Megan decided to stay home with her daughter and merge her artistic talents with her love of children’s clothing. So began Shrimp & Grits Kids. After starting the line in 2007 and selling online with great success, Megan wanted to offer other moms the same opportunity to combine their desire to work from home with their passion for children’s clothing. She created the Shrimp & Grits Kids Rep/Host program – a direct selling model that allows for independent financial growth while building personal relationships through Trunk Show Events. Today, Shrimp & Grits Kids has over 140 Sales Reps and over 1800 Hostesses selling throughout the country.
